I absolutely love John Carpenter's The Thing, I watched this when I was far to young (the joy of a much older brother) It really stuck with me, the whole shape shifting alien that just wants to get to a population so it can spread. A simple concept, but so well executed, the paranoia, the isolation. As a response I have illustrated this tribute piece for Hero Complex Gallery, LA.
